Orphanages and Ukrainian foster families received cash and in-kind benefits from state agencies before the occupation. Since the occupation by Russian troops, this system has been undermined. Ukrainian orphans and their foster parents, who share everything with them, are therefore suffering great hardship. We regularly transfer small amounts of money to those in need and send food and medicines, such as insulin, via couriers to the region.
